Popular Summer Beers at Our Westchester Sports Bar

Summertime is still in full swing, and many of us want to spend our evenings hanging out with friends at local bars or breweries. A popular spot in Westchester is NY Firehouse Grille, complete with a full service sports bar. Eating wings or a burger and downing a beer or two is a great way to hang out with friends this summer!
Do you ever wonder where this famous, cold- fermented beverage called beer originated from? You wouldn’t have guessed it, but the world’s first fermented beverages emerged alongside the development of cereal agriculture 12,000 years ago. The earliest known alcoholic beverage is in fact a 9,000 year old Chinese concoction made from rice, honey and fruit.
Throughout history there were a number of different grains that were used in different cultures.
• Africa used millet, cassava and maize
• Japan used rice to make sake.
• Russians used rye to make quad.
• Egyptians used barley strictly for brewing.
The crafting of beer has been a part of global history for years. Today in the US, breweries are all over the nation providing locals with great crafts that can be enjoyed almost anywhere. The summertime is a great time of year to crack open a bottle. There are a number of popular beers available this summer that you may enjoy.
